On February 13, 2025, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron visited the CMA CGM Group headquarters in Marseille. They were welcomed by Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman and CEO of CMA CGM. The discussions centered on strengthening economic ties and advancing the India-Middle East-Europe Economic
Corridor (IMEC).

CMA CGM, a global leader in shipping and logistics, has been operating in India for 34 years, employing 17,000 people and connecting the country to global markets through 19 weekly maritime services. The company has made strategic port investments in Nhava Sheva Freeport (NSFT) and Mundra Port. Additionally, its subsidiary, CEVA Logistics, operates across 105 sites in 31 cities with nearly 900,000 square meters of warehouse space.

The IMEC project aims to create an integrated trade route connecting India, the Middle East, and Europe via maritime and land infrastructure. CMA CGM plans to play a pivotal role in
this initiative, leveraging its modern fleet, strategic port hubs, and extensive logistics expertise to enhance connectivity and support energy transport and telecommunications via
subsea cables.

During the visit, Prime Minister Modi and President Macron also toured the control room of CMA CGM, where they were briefed on the company's business activities, including shipping, port operations, supply chain management, and warehousing. They discussed future collaborations in the context of the IMEC project.

This visit underscores the strong strategic partnership between India, France, and CMA CGM, highlighting a shared commitment to innovation and growth in global trade.
